Friends,
As you can see, after my India journey, I let this blog rest for a time. In between that experience and the present moment, SO MUCH has happened... too much to put in one post. Sufficient to say, I am back, and embarking on a new journey... one very different and in some ways, much more meaningful to me.
This summer, I am traveling to El Salvador. Initially, my plan was to participate in an introductory trip called "Summer Internship". This time would have afforded me three weeks of travel throughout Latin America, including stops in Mexico and Guatemala.
Just yesterday, plans changed! I requested, and was granted, the opportunity to leave for El Salvador THREE WEEKS early. I will be going with the Latin America Regional Team, and focusing on a variety of projects including facilitating a SLAM (Students Living a Mission) week, building on ministry property, growing my language skills, learning Latin American culture and forging relationships with people that I hope to some day minister to long-term. As you can see, there will be a LOT to accomplish. The good news is, I now have six weeks in which to accomplish all this, rather than three!
With this new opportunity comes a greater cost, which is natural. Formerly, I was required to raise $2400, and now the cost is $3400. Though this is a lot, I am not overwhelmed - I know that the LORD (and hopefully you all!) will help.
I would welcome your financial support as I make this final push toward El Salvador. To make a tax-deductible donation, you can mail a check with my name and the purpose in the memo to:

Thank you for your support... I'm grateful for you! STAY TUNED - photo update to come! I'll be posting pictures of the team I'm going with and the places we'll be working in.
